PROCESS DESCRIPTION
Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA) Technology
Production of Oxygen gas from atmospheric air is based on PSA technology by adsorption of Nitrogen gas using special grade Zeolite Molecular Sieve (ZMS).
Atmospheric air is compressed using screw air compressor with air dryer to a pressure of 7.5 kg/cm2. The condensed moisture is drained automatically from air receiver by Automatic Drain Valve (ADV).
The air is passed through twin-tower PSA module packed with ZMS having a 1+1 minute timing cycle. One tower is switched on to adsorption while other simultaneously regenerated by depressurization to atmosphere. Entire process is automatic and is controlled by sequence programming timer.
Raw Oxygen is produced by PSA unit. Now, this oxygen flows Surge Vessel to balance the fluctuation in pressure and concentration. Now, the oxygen gas is stored in storage tank ready for use.
